Record player zoetrope (test 2)

This next test will still focus on the same principle of animating small balls. However this time I have increased the number of sculptures, adjusted the strobe speed and changed the type of animation.

Rather than having 12 balls increasing in size, I decided to use 20 balls emerging from the floor, as it were. The new calculation would be 360/20=18degrees. So this time I had to use the protractor to divide the record by 20 and used a compass to mark these points further towards the circumference.

This chart bellow shows the setting that the strobe must be adjusted to according to the number of models and speed of the rotator. As I have 20 models, the strobe speed must be set to 11 flashes per second.

Test 2:

After making the neccisary adjustments I do think that this has been a more successful test. However I still think that there is an issue with the lighting. Perhaps I need a larger strobe/additional lighting and perhaps a pitch black room?
