I have decided to take the ambitious move of sculpting all 10 sculptures for my zoetrope. This takes away from my concept (one true original and the rest fakes) however, in order for the animation to be effective, all of the hands must be exactly/similarly the same. To do this I will use the exact same quantities, 7cm for the palm/ball of the hand, 3cm for the index finger and 2cm for the thumb. This technique will also solve the problem of how to attach the wire to sculpture; I will sculpt around the wire before baking which will hopefully encase it and keep it sturdy.

As you can see below, these first three hands looks very similar (not quite identical) but with the same proportions and same amount of clay
