First photoshoot in the studio (test)

I have stuck wooden dowels onto the back of two of my sculptures. I set up the pieces on a black background in the photography studio on the floor (taking the photo from above). I then lit the area from above. The photo has only focused the floating pieces so I will have to have the pieces closer together on their levels? Or change the focus setting on the camera. I really do like how this turned out as an initial test, but to make the setting up process easier, I will have to set this up vertically; perhaps suspending the pieces by fishing wires?

The finger is on the longest dowel as I want this to be the main focus (being the relic and all); it looks as if it is floating. The different layers/heights really give the image depth as well as obscuring the scale. The pieces themselves measure from 5-20cm in length, however I think that these varied heights make them look significantly larger.
