I sculpted a clay finger using the image below as a reference. I tried to make this appear fairly realistic however, this part is still just part of the reliquary; the bone is supposed to be the relic. 

The next step was to cast the original clay figure using alginate and plaster. 

Below is a perfect impression of the finger sculpture. Next I need to fill this with plaster for an identical copy.
